Ed Suter
I was given a camera at age 8 to record my surroundings before my family emigrated from the UK to South Africa. I never stopped taking pictures since but it wasn’t until much later in life that I studied photography at the London College of Printing that I learnt more technique. Since moving back to Cape Town, I work for a variety of magazines shooting portraits , architecture and lifestyle. I am happiest shooting environmental portraits – often of people who are commonly overlooked , giving them a moment to shine and to present themselves with pride to the world.
