I am modern-day urban geographer using my explorative nature, intuition and camera to capture the often over-looked complexities of the world around us. My work is fueled by my need to explore the unfamiliar and sometimes forgotten.
Purposeful roaming and getting caught in awkward (sometimes illegal) situations brings me to a peaceful place where my art is created. A decrepit old building that is nothing more than forgotten or a scrawny sapling squeezing its way through urban sprawl-this is where I find true beauty and inspiration. I wish not to exploit the world as we see it everyday but to present the intricacies of what’s hiding just beneath where we forget to gaze.

Josh Falk (www.joshfalk.com) is a Boston based photographer with a talent for capturing everyday sights and faces and producing an alluring view of the world around us.
His strong connection to urban environments through graffiti and skateboarding combined with his upbringing in a small industrial town, have played a huge part in the way Josh perceives the world around him.
Josh’s photographs can be labeled refined and his style honest, paying as much attention to the most neglected alley as the most sought after scenic view.  Meshing the city and its inhabitants that surround him with everyday experiences and his travels, Josh Falk finds and creates beauty in the ordinary.
As a founding member of artist collective Project Sf (www.projectsf.com), Josh Falk has worked in and around Boston as a freelance photographer and mixed-media artist.  With work featured in Boston Magazine, Clouded Thoughts (Australia), Photo Forum, Beautiful Decay, Hypebeast and on various websites around the world.  Josh has also exhibited works in Hong Kong, Montreal, NYC, Long Beach and throughout Boston.
