Photography has always fascinated me. Being able to freeze a moment in time and study it helps me to appreciate the nuances of a blurred, fast-paced world. I left the city when I was 21 and spent 13 years living in the desert, which drew me with it’s timelessness and ancient beauty. While there I came to know the people and wildlife intimately and made them the subject of most of my work – work which reflects my desire to share my experience as much as it is a personal record of my life.
I came back to the city in 2001 and while I often return to the desert, I’m enjoying bringing my unique perspective to an urban environment.
